Maz Wavez is a Songwriter, Rapper and Vocalist bundled in one beautiful artistic package that no-one can resist. This charismatic performer is a talent with true originality that will surely set the tone for modern music era.

Born Martin Mphofu and goes by the stage name Maz Wavez, is a
hip hop artist/songwriter/producer from a small town in
the Southern side of Johannesburg called Vereeniging
(Vaal) in South Africa

Maz Wavez is one of those artists that possess the capability to be referred to, as a game-changer in no distant future. This young rapper who has a visionary quality has emerged with this sound he title as rap/jazz fusion with some trap music, which is dubbed with jazz and hip-hop to create an authentic Trap Jazz sound.

Maz Wavez confirmed that his inspiration is draw from super legendady music icons like the late Oliver Mtukudzi, Hugh Masekela & Compton’s finest rapper and global superstar, Kendrick
Lamar to mention but a few.

His musical journey is of trying to make “adults feel like they are young” and make the youth resonate with the 80’s groove by having a reenactment of the 80’s South African groove music simply by doing so with hip hop.

Maz Wavez has worked with a number of artists which includes KL-47 (his producer since 2017), Auzzy-A, Tieson Tisla,, Skybeats, The Royal Zino, Molly-mo, Krazie-mac & Leeroy Ivry .

Maz Wavez aims at reshaping the face of African hip hop with his unique jazzy but intelligently packaged music style. A one-of-a-kind artist to bet your money for in this new generation.
