Black Coffee Goes Blunt on SA Media As Nadia Nakai and Others Performed at Riky’s Memorial
It was a heartfelt memorial 4th of March, 2022 held in honor of the late South African Rapper, Riky Rick. Everyone in the South African music industry was in attendance physically or streaming it online. Among the many primetime players in the South African music industry that delivered heartfelt eulogies in celebration of the life of the top rapper, were Casper Nyonvest and South African International, DJ Black Coffee.
The popular DJ who delivered a were scripted speech in honor of his late friend, didn’t mince words as he took a swipe at the South African Media.

In his remarks, the South African media has not done a thing of pride by publishing the personal note Riky Rick has dropped for his family before the ill-fated incident.

The DJ has gone ahead to encourage the South African Media to be more supportive of artists by channeling their energies on positive publications that can build stronger instead of a “bring-down” mentality.
He also plays down the societal notion that artists or celebrities must be expected to carry themselves in certain ways. The DJ has warned that artists must be allowed to be themselves without expecting too much as they are just as human as anyone else.
Nadia Nakai, Costa Tich and Others Put up a Tribute Performance
Riky Ricks Memorial was a gathering of who is who in the South African music industry, from hip hop to amapiano artists and every other genre, no one was left out.

A creme de la creme of artists with whom Riky had worked and others he brought into the game was all available to put up an honorable performance to their hero.
Among them is South Africa’s Hip-hop Queen, Nadia Nakai who mesmerized the live audience and tv audience on stage with a beautiful performance while Costa Tich and others seize the moment to represent their idol, Riky Rick.
By and large, it was a beautiful send-off amidst the shared pains among fans and family alike. Finally, the South African, beloved hip hop mogul, Riky Rick can forever “Rest in Peace”.
