Giannis took charge at the #NBAFINALS2021 with 50 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots to lead Milwaukee Bucks to their championship wins since 1971. This victory has come to Milwaukee Bucks at a time when nearly everyone had written them off as a champion-worthy team. Giannis himself made it clear in his humble postgame remarks:

“This should make every kid, everyone, just believe what you do and keep working,” Giannis said. “I hope I give people around the world hope, that it can be done. Eight years ago, I didn’t know when my next move would happen. Now I’m here, sitting on top of the top. I’m extremely blessed. If I never have the chance to sit here [with the trophy] again, I’m fine with it.”

The mood in the city of Milwaukee, USA has been celebratory and some had even stressed the point that this had only happened in 1971 when the team firstly got their NBA championship victory lead by one of Basketball’s all-time greats, and Milwaukee Bucks legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Now that the table has turned with a solid team as lead by Giannis Antetokounmpo, many hoped that the status of Milwaukee basketball will remain at the top for a long time.

Who is Giannis Antetokounmpo

Born in Athens, Greece to Nigerian parents. He is one of those children of immigrants who couldn’t have an Identity until he became 18years old when according to Greek Laws he was eligible to apply for an ID. At this point, Antetokounmpo has already fallen in love with the game of basketball.

He was drafted into the Greek National team and plays in International basketball tournaments representing Greece.

In 2016–17 he led the Bucks in all five major statistical categories and became the first player in NBA history to finish a regular season in the top 20 in all five statistics of total points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks (wiki). Some of his formidable records include finishing the 2019–20 season with the highest single-season player efficiency rating in NBA history.

Judging by the above, Giannis, is no stranger to basketball achievements as his impressive efforts in the NBA 2021 Finals have helped his team, Milwaukee Bucks, to an impressive championship victory since 1971.
