South Africa: former coo OF SABC Cashing in on a R16m Lawsuit against the Broadcast House for Damages
Disgruntled Former (South Africa Broadcasting Corporation) SABC’s COO Chris Maroleng has decided to drag the organisation to court for imminent court case of unfair dismissal.
The former COO according to an account by Eye Witness News, the former COO is urging or seeking to urge the court to dismiss the disciplinary action taken against him by the corporation which lead to his dismissal and termination of his employment contract. The said amount of R16million is the total amount being balance of his contract term should he finished his term of office as a COO.
He wants the courts to set it aside.
“This is part of an amended affidavit in relation to the case that I’m bringing forward to the Labour Court concerning an unfair dismissal from the SABC.”
“In essence I’m really attempting to restore my reputation that I believe has been slighted by the accusations that have been put forward by the SABC against me that have resulted in my dismissal from the SABC.”
Maroleng maintains he is innocent and obviously wants the court to take action again’st his former bosses in a bid to clear his name of any wrong doing.
