Tribute to George Floyd | Houston Mayor Declare June 9th as George Floyd Day
George Floyd Funeral was held at the Fountain of Praise Church in Houston Texas, USA. It was a very significant and dignifying celebration of George’s life as dignitaries from all over the world were watching and in attendance. The Mayor of the City of Houston made the biggest announcement as he named the 9th of June as George Floyd Day.
In addition, Mayor Sylvester Turner of Houston has already set the tone for black dignity by signing an executive order into law which will ban Choke-hold and many other unlawful arresting method often applied by the Police system.
Firebrand Reverend, Al Shapton took no controlled measure as he fired at the crooked racist systems that has held the American Society for 100s of years, also took a sarcastic swipe at President Trump for failing to take leadership at the chaotic situation in America.
George Floyd death has reignited the fight for Justice not only in America, but to a large extent, the world all over. There is no doubt that some people or persons are actually born into this world to achieve a purpose. And, there’s no doubt, George Floyd is one of those with that mission to the world and he is one of the people that came, they saw and conquered.
Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden was one of those who delivered an emotional eulogy via a video cast. But members of the public including spectators from all over the world who were hoping to hear from President Donald Trump were highly disappointed, as the President failed once again to let his leadership impact be felt as far as this matter is concerned.
As the emotionally charged ceremony saw R&B superstar Ne-yo render a BoyzIIMen rendition of “Say Goodbye “, Ne-yo who battled with his emotions almost lost his voice during singing. While battling with tears, he managed to finished the song.
The Family who were emotional all through the service, even as they battle to hold it together, thanked the world for support and vowed to fighting for justice.
